From Louisiana: Grammy award nominees this year, Lost Bayou Ramblers are ready to ramble…
From Norway:
Benedicte Maurseth, is coming over in August to perform at the Lake Champlain Valley Folk Festival in Vermont, and later in the month at the American Folk Festival, (formerly the National Folk Festival). She returns in April 09 with fellow hardanger fiddle player Knut Hamre to play a concert at the Metropolitan Museum of Art featuring some of the ancient hardanger fiddles in their collection. Lepisto&Lehti are touring Canada in August, and return in early December for several dates.

Le Vent du Nord are in CA in latter half of August, in MA beginning of September, in CA in mid-April 09 and in NY-PA in latter part of April 09
From France:
Gilles Le Bigot’s trio have their visa, and would like to return. (past members of Skolvan; Kornog)
Stephane Wrembel has a new album, and wants gigs! He is based in NYC, but from France.
From Sweden: Harv, touring Fall 09
Colombia: Marta Gomez is in Ohio / Midwest in early November 08.
US: John Williams and Dean Magraw in MI-WI-IL-Midwest in March 2009.
Turkey: Omar Faruk Tekbilek is touring all over the world… and would like to play more dates in North America, as he lives here!
Belgium: Karim Baggili wants to bring his trio or quintet over - anytime!
