Gilles Le Bigot Trio

Recognized leaders of the traditional music scene in Brittany, their music (both traditional and original) stands out for its melodic beauty and rich arrangements. The trio includes members of the group Skolvan, a seminal group from Brittany that was founded in 1984 and has been one of the mainspring of  Breton music’s revival.  This renaissance was essential to safeguard the traditional music in Brittany, a heritage in peril at the time. Members include Gilles Le Bigot on guitar, Bernard Le Dreau on soprano saxophone, and Loig Troel on diatonic accordion. All three are virtuosos on their respective instruments.
